Information on requesting access to records held by Hamoodley Mining and Oil Company under the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000.
This manual is published in accordance with section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000 (PAIA) and sets out how to request access to records held by the company.
PAIA gives effect to the constitutional right of access to information. This manual describes the records we hold and the process for requesting access to them, and is available free of charge.

To request access to a record, submit a written request to the Information Officer setting out the record you require and the manner in which you wish to access it, together with proof of identity. We will respond within the periods prescribed by PAIA and may ask you to pay the prescribed request and access fees.
Access to records is subject to the fees prescribed under PAIA, including reproduction, search, and preparation fees where applicable. No fee is payable for making the initial request.
If a request is refused - for example because the record contains third-party or personal information protected by law - we will provide reasons in writing. You may apply to a court for relief, or lodge an internal appeal or complaint with the Information Regulator as provided for in PAIA.
